Protective cases for early TMNT comic books

I am currently trying to find appropriately-sized protective cases for early, oversized Mirage Studios-published TMNT comic books, which measure 7 and three-quarters inches wide and 11 inches tall. I'm envisioning those hard plastic "slab" covers used by comics grading services.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find some of these? Thanks! -- PL

  1. You might be able to find something along the lines of what your looking for here.

  2. Amazon has these Golden Age sized top loaders but the width might not quite do it - they're 7 5/8 inches wide on the inside which sounds like 1/8 an inch too small... but maybe check em out. http://www.amazon.com/CBG-Golden-Comic-Book-Loaders/dp/B00PCRQFGY/

  4. BCW "Magazine" size boards, bags & top loaders will do the trick. Can be found on the BCW site someone posted above, or on Amazon. That is what I used for mine before buying graded copies

If you want maximum protection/encapsulation then they should be submitted to CGC.

  5. If you are still interested; Comic Skin makes "do it yourself" slabs... the Golden Age size would fit your early TMNT issues.
